Huawei registered trademarks for Mate V, Mate F and Mate Fold

In the midst of business restriction, Huawei its journey to create new technologies because recently the company has registered some of its new trademarks that point its continue search in the industry of foldable devices.

Huawei has filed new trademarks application at National Institute for the Defense of Free Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (INDECOPI) in Peru, which was recently published on the official website with names as – Huawei Mate V, Mate F, and Mate Fold, first seen by NashvilleChatter.



The company mainly use “Mate” in its high-end flagship devices such as Huawei Mate phones, which includes foldable phone Huawei Mate X and it seems like the company is planning to create a full fledge foldable display device environment.

However, due to the ongoing fight against the US, Huawei is facing a ban in doing business with the US firms including Google, prohibiting Huawei from getting further Android support as well as future software services for its devices.

Currently, the US has eased its restriction on Huawei and provided a 90 days temporary relief, which allowed Google to resume its support to Huawei devices but the company is not allowed to buy any new components or software from the firms, the US wants to use Huawei restrictions as a bait to grab a good negotiation term in US-China trade deal.
