Huawei Pura X gets first HarmonyOS 5.0.1 update with new features

Huawei is rolling out the first update for the Pura X foldable with a set of new features and Celia AI capabilities. It brings several enhancements to the folding device, making it more efficient for usage. You may also find improved performance.

The company is releasing the first Huawei Pura X update with the stable HarmonyOS 5.0.1.105 version. Note that this firmware weighs around 11.2 GB in size.

Speaking of the features, the company has added support for the Celia AI Whisper that lets you command the virtual assistant without letting others hear your voice.

On the flip side, the update brings a smart writing feature that summarizes long articles into points to understand the content easily. Users will also find a new screen sharing interface in the MeeTime app, making the video call experience more interactive.

Celia

• The cover screen supports the Celia Whisper feature. After the phone is folded, pick up the phone and put the microphone close to your mouth, and speak the command directly. Celia can execute your orders accurately.
• Added the Celia Writing feature. Click on the Celia Writing icon on the toolbar of the memo editing page, or select the content in the content input box and then select Celia Writing to summarize, polish, and format the content.
• New Celia Time Machine, which recommends wonderful moments in your life based on your daily exercise, photos, music, places you have visited, etc. (Celia app > Celia Time Machine)

Home Screen

• Pinch the home screen to select multiple apps, long press to drag to the upper right corner to delete.

MeeTime App

• Added a new screen sharing interface and graffiti features. You can share your screen with the other party during a video call, demonstrate while talking, and doodle on the screen to help with understanding.

Camera

• Camera Mode: Take photos at 5X or above magnification, and the photos support automatic AI cloud enhancement, making the photos clearer. (Path> Tap on the four-dot icon in the upper right corner of the Gallery > Settings > Automatic Cloud Enhancement)
• Optimized the dual-screen display feature. (Path: Camera > Treasure Box > Dual-Screen Display icon)
• Optimized the red maple portrait skin color, lip color restoration, portrait mode blur, and skin beautification effects, improves effect stability, and brings you a better shooting experience.

Gallery

• Supports one-touch transfer of watch faces. After selecting a favorite picture in the gallery, you can touch the watch face with the NFC area of your phone to transfer the picture to the watch face background.
• Optimize the stability and operation experience of the gallery.

Theme

• Added new cute pets, such as kitten and panda, to the cover screen theme. You can interact with them.
• Optimized theme display effects and improved the user experience.

System

• Air Transfer supports Huawei Music, which allows you to easily grab songs from this device and transfer them to other HarmonyOS 5 devices. (Settings > System > Quick Launch and Gestures > Air Transfer)
