Huawei Pura 80 series leak suggests no major price hike

Huawei Pura 80 series may not get a major price hike. The company is said to use more reasonable cost tags for the upcoming flagship compared to its predecessors. Don’t worry, as this step won’t compromise the quality of new devices.
As noted by @DigitalChatStation, Huawei has sufficient parts and relevant components for the Pura 80 series. Here, the materials seemingly refer to the display, middle frame, 3D face recognition sensor, speakers, cameras, battery, and more.
The tipster adds that the Pura 80 models will likely be the main focus of the company’s smartphone sales targets this year. This could be true if Mate 80 launches around November or December this year, just like Mate 70 debut.
Further details say that the company will opt for a more reasonable price for the Huawei Pura 80 than the previous generation models. It hints that the tech giant may introduce the new lineup at a price lower than or equal to Pura 70.
Even if the price increases, it could still sound reasonable compared to the previous-gen handsets. However, the accuracy of this information is still doubtful.

Huawei Pura 70 series has a starting price of 5499 yuan. The base version of all four models costs:
- Pura 70 (12GB + 256GB) = 5499 yuan
- Pura 70 Pro (12GB + 256GB) = 6499 yuan
- Pura 70 Pro+ (16GB + 512GB) = 7999 yuan
- Pura 70 Ultra (16GB + 512GB) = 9999 yuan
It would be worth seeing if the Pura 80 series surpasses these price tags or uses the same.
Huawei Pura 80 series will likely debut next month under a grand-scale launch event. Alongside the flagship lineup, the company may launch many other products like a Watch 5 wearable, FreeArc, and more.
Pura 80 could feature Huawei’s first self-developed main camera setup on the back. It may use the Pura X Kirin chip with improved performance and seamless functioning. Meanwhile, consumers may witness new satellite features this time.
The upcoming lineup may also surprise consumers with a new, different design. A quad-camera setup, dual-layer OLED, and enhanced nightography are also expected to be the Pura 80 series features.
