Huawei Pura 80 series leak reveals codenames of all four models
A new leak has now revealed the codenames of the Huawei Pura 80 series. The information suggests that the flagship lineup is inching closer to its launch date. On the flip side, it hints that the upcoming Pura line has four dynamic phone models.
Weibo tipster @FixedFocus has now shared the codenames of the Huawei Pura 80 series. The tipster revealed that the standard variant is said to be H, the Pro is called L, the Pro+ codename is LP, and the Pura 80 Ultra has the LU codename.
Even though these codenames don’t reveal much details about the next-gen Pura series, it suggests that the lineup will have four models, just like its predecessor.
On the other hand, it hints that the Huawei Pura 80 series will continue to stick to an Ultra variant instead of an ART Edition. Many previous rumors said that the company could launch an Art version this time with creative design, rather than Ultra.
Following the new leak, many netizens said that they would like to see an Art edition this time over Ultra. Last time, Huawei unveiled the Art model with the P60 series, without a Kirin processor. Hence, netizens demand a new Art edition with the power of the Kirin 5G chipset.

Apart from the codenames and model counts, the latest leak doesn’t reveal any new changes or specifications about the flagship Pura 80 series. But the lineup is officially launching in June and by that time, we may grab more revelations about it.
Huawei is testing some advanced camera sensors for its upcoming Pura 80 series this time. The company could use a new SmartSens 50MP primary camera instead of the Sony IMX989 for Pura 80 Pro.
Meanwhile, the Ultra variant may feature surprising camera upgrades, probably a dual periscope system as well. It may debut with a unique style this time. Besides, the standard version could be the same as its predecessor in terms of look.
