Huawei Pura 80 series expected to top Mate 70 in performance
Huawei Pura 80 series continues to be the subject of rumors, and the latest one states that the upcoming lineup may offer better performance than the Mate 70. The company may introduce a new Kirin processor for the next flagship line.
Weibo tipster @BeijingDigitalMaster says the Huawei Pura 80 series could bring improved performance over the Mate 70. It may deliver a significant functioning boost and provide a seamless as well as more efficient experience to consumers.
The latest Pura 80 series performance leak hints at a new Kirin chip. Perhaps, the company may launch a more powerful chipset with the upcoming Pura lineup.
Huawei introduces a new Kirin chip with every Mate and P series. The OEM has been following this rule since the Mate 60 series launch. After the 9000s, the tech giant brought the Kirin 9010 with Pura 70 and unveiled the 9020 5G with Mate 70 Pro.
It looks like Pura 80 smartphones won’t be an exception to this theory.
Earlier, some tipsters reported that the Huawei Pura 80 series could feature the Kirin 9020 chipset and may score 1.2 – 1.3 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark.
In that case, the Chinese phone maker could use the Kirin 9020 chipset for the standard Pura 80 while a new processor for the high-end variants. Things are quite uncertain at present. Though we may find more details on this topic in the future.
Huawei Pura 70 – Kirin chips
The company has unveiled many derivatives of the Kirin 9000s in the past and one of these is the Kirin 9000S1. The chip is used for the standard Pura 70 model. Meanwhile, the high-end Pura 70 handsets are running on the Kirin 9010 5G.
Mate 70 lineup also followed the same trend by using the Kirin 9010 chip for the standard handset while the new 9020 5G processor for other top-end siblings.
It would be worth seeing what new changes the company will introduce for the Pura 80 series over its predecessors and the Mate 70 smartphones, in the time ahead.
