Huawei patent shows technology to wirelessly charge smart eyewear

Along with smartphones, Huawei also offers a wide range of smart products including smartwatches, smart glasses, tablets, smart TVs, and more. To enhance the user’s experience, the company will do experiment with new ideas for further use.

On June 15, Huawei has published a new patent with the announcement number CN109907455B for eyeglass cases, wireless charging glasses, and wireless charging kits for smart eyewear. According to information, the company applied for this patent on February 25, 2019, in China.

At present, the previously launched smart glasses come with wired charging and require a charging port, which is very inconvenient for a portable device such as smart glasses.

Additionally, the charging port is generally opened and it is not good to add in waterproof smart glasses. To overcome these issues and the problem of wired charging, Huawei’s new patent will surely helpful.

The patent document shows that it provides a stand that can be used for wireless charging for eyeglasses. The glass case can be placed in parallel to that charging stand and recharge itself.
