A new leak about the Huawei P60 series reveals that the Pro model will equip Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which eases some doubts about this upcoming flagship.

Tipster WangzaiKnows shared a screenshot along with the caption “P60 Pro”, the screenshot carries GPU information of the SOC, and vendor name. This includes Adreno 730 and Qualcomm respectively.

Interestingly, the Adreno 730 GPU belongs to Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which affirms that the Huawei P60 Pro will equip this chipset onboard.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset comes with octa-core architecture. This consist of octa-core, 1 × Cortex-X2 at 3.2 GHz + 3 × Cortex-A710 at 2.75 GHz + 4 × Cortex-A510 at 2.0 GHz. The chipset also has the 7th generation of Qualcomm AI Engine.

Huawei already used this chipset first with Huawei Mate 50 lineup and the upcoming Mate X3 foldable phone could also ramp up to this platform. We don’t have official input on this matter but Huawei could launch the lineup this month and there is some useful information that you should know about.

Huawei P60 series:

The Huawei P60 series could be the biggest opening for Huawei in the smartphone industry. The Chinese tech maker has prepared this flagship with a number of new features including a brand-new camera system.

Details show that Huawei will use the world’s biggest sensor for the main camera. On the other hand, it will polish better imaging for the consumers.

That’s not it, Huawei P60 Pro will ramp up camera capabilities with Huawei’s marquee RYYB color array, which Huawei first introduced with P30 Pro in 2019.

Also, recent camera samples reveal that Huawei also improved the zoom quality and it seems amazing in comparison to past flagship devices.

There are some changes made to the rear design and some new algorithm changes on the software side may also surprise us. Moreover, a new type of satellite communication capability may also make its way to the launch event.
