We are still in October and Huawei P50 series has already started receiving November 2022 security update in China. This is quite a big development as the latest security patch for the phone comes with a number of new improvements.

Huawei P50 Pro is receiving a November 2022 security update with HarmonyOS 2 version 3.0.0.160 and an OTA size of 1.15GB. Huawei P50 and P50 Pro are one of the first smartphones to participate in the HarmonyOS 3 beta and recently upgraded with a stable rollout.

According to the changelog, Huawei is seeding a number of new changes with this upgrade including the super transfer hub. other than this, there are new service widget improvements. There’s a new recommendation section in the gallery app. However, the spotlight has been stolen by the November 2022 security patch, which will improve the phone’s capability against vulnerabilities.

  • Added the feature of a super transfer hub. After long-pressing and dragging text, pictures, files, and other content into the super transfer hub, you can drag and drop multiple contents across applications and devices and share them in batches.

Gallery:

  • The “Moments” page has a new recommended section, which can show you more wonderful moments such as growth trajectory, food, pets, etc.

  • Integrates the November 2022 security patch to enhance system security

In China:

The rollout is related to the HarmonyOS 3 powered Huawei P50 and P50 Pro smartphones. Meanwhile, the global users are running EMUI 12, as EMUI 13 is about to begin the beta activity. Furthermore, we suggest eligible model owners make a backup of important files to prevent unwanted deletion.
