Huawei P40 Pro is receiving a new software update and it comes with March 2023 EMUI security patch but we’ve already entered it in April and users of this mega flagship are now waiting to get EMUI 13.

Huawei is sending this new software update for the Huawei P40 Pro global models with EMUI version 12.0.0.315. You should know that this upgrade comes in batches. Despite the fact the package size is around 470 megabytes, this changelog has no extra features except the security patches.

EMUI 13:

Aside from March 2023 update, Huawei P40 Pro is also eligible for the new EMUI 13. Because the hardware of this phone is up and running quite smoothly ever since its launch. However, we are looking forward to an upgrade slot for our Huawei P40 Pro.

Last month, Huawei started EMUI 13 test with Huawei P50 Pro, P50 Pocket flip, and Mate Xs 2 side folding phones. Still, the beta activity remains limited to East Asia countries.

Many of the users asked us about the expansion plan for the beta pool but it remains unverified for the moment. Since Huawei Mate 50 Pro already comes with EMUI 13 out of the box, it has not been considered for the new beta activity.

Huawei P40 Pro:

The March 2023 security update enhances the Huawei P40 Pro’s software ecosystem to fight against dangerous malware and bugs. Therefore, you are suggested to grab a new firmware as soon as it appears on your P40 Pro model.

Huawei P40 Pro comes with a quad camera system consisting of a powerful sensor and it’s the first phone quad curve display. This feature is now returned in the Huawei P60 Pro, Huawei’s latest flagship. However, Huawei has removed the pill shape cutout in the P60 Pro.

This new phone will come with EMUI 13.1 onboard, which we may see on Huawei P40 Pro after EMUI 13.
