Huawei P40 Lite is receiving April 2022 security improvements, as its name reflects, this update improves the security aspect of the device. According to the information, the latest software is rolling in batches and processed gradually among the P40 lite consumers in the global market.

Huawei P40 Lite is one of the earliest devices to upgrade over EMUI 12 and consumers are really enjoying the latest features offered by this new EMUI version. Although, the rollout process is still underway but most of the P40 lite owners have jumped to EMUI 12 from the previous EMUI version.

In the latest edition, EMUI 12 has the latest and foremost improvements to the user interface and features that improve your user experience as compared to EMUI 11 or EMUI 10.1.

Coming back to the software update, the Huawei P40 Lite April 2022 security improvement has firmware version 12.0.0.228. The software package for this update has a size of 266MB. We recommend the corresponding model users download this package as soon as it arrives via OTA.

To update your Huawei P40 lite, visit Settings > Systme & updates > Software updates > CHECK FOR UPDATES. If a software package is available, the system will fetch the latest software details and fetch them down on your device. Alternatively, you can also request a software update via the update section of the My Huawei app.
