Huawei P30 Pro comes with a 6.47-inch OLED display with FHD+ (2340 x 1080) resolution and curved edges on both left and right sides, which gives the phone a unique feel and makes the phone more premium. To maximize the viewing experience, the display includes a dewdrop notch to house a 32MP f/2.0 aperture selfie camera.

As a flagship, the phone comes with some new techs including In-Screen Fingerprint inside the front glass for quick and secure identity authentication. The HUAWEI P30 Pro also features Acoustic Display Technology that enables it to deliver high-quality audio through a sound-emitting display, which removes the earpiece from the top.

The display itself is very sharp and the color reproduction is excellent, on top of this the phone let you optimize color scheme to choose between ‘Normal’ and ‘Vivid’ color options. Also, you can choose different temperature modes that suit better to your eyes. Also, to make the phone suitable to use in Night-Time, the “Eye Comfort” feature is there to help in the notification panel.

Apart from this the phone also has a different solution for its night use as ‘Dark interface colors’, as the name refers, this feature can apply a system-level dark theme that also helps the phone to save more battery compared to the regular theme.

Design:

Huawei P30 Pro is a true example of beautiful design and comes with gradient colors mixed in different variations, the curved glass on the back helps the phone to achieve the top design ratings.

But the real action starts to happen when you hold this smartphone and the color composition comes in the connection of light, it shows different form, hues, and gradient that changes depending on the position of the smartphone.

We’ve got Huawei P30 Pro in Breathing Crystal color and it’s also available in Amber Sunrise, Aurora, Pearl White, and Black (Non-gradient).

As for the measurements, Huawei P30 Pro is 73.4 mm wide, 8.41 mm thick and 158.0 mm tall, and weighs only 192g, which makes the phone very handy and easy to interact with. Because of its camera bump and back glass, it may slip on the flat surfaces but not every time.

Huawei P30 series was launched on the tagline ‘rewrite the rules of photography’, which is already confirmed by the highest overall score on DxOMark and can be clearly seen in its Leica Quad Camera system including a 40MP main camera with SuperSpectrum Sensor, a 20MP ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8MP telephoto camera, and a ToF Camera. On the front side, we have a 32MP selfie cam that can take selfies to a new level.

Let’s start our camera review with its 40MP SuperSpectrum sensor that has a high ISO rating of 409,600 combined with AIS (AI Image Stabilization), OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and its f/1.6 aperture can deliver perfect photography and videography experiences in wider range of scenarios and light condition including in-door, out-door and extreme low light images powered by handheld Night Mode that can capture images even in the darkest environment.

Regular Photo Mode:

Night Mode:

Ultra Wide Angle: The 20MP Ultra Wide Angle lens allows users to capture the whole scene without moving a step from their position by simply tap on the wide feature.

5X Optical Zoom: Huawei P30 Pro has revolutionized of how far a smartphone’s camera can reach with its zooming power because it’s the first to come with a 5X optical zoom, 10 times hybrid zoom and 50 times digital zoom. The power of this much zoom is originally lain down to its new telephoto camera structure called the ‘Periscopic camera’ that even allows to phone to reach the moon.

ToF Camera: Now it’s time to evaluate the fourth camera of the P30 Pro that captures the depth-of-field information to measure exact shapes and distances to capture better bokeh shots. Also, with its built-in AR Measure app, users can measure an object’s Length, Area, Volume, and Height.

Although there are various modes available on the camera app, the one that we’re talking about is ‘Super macro’ that can capture detailed images of any objects from an absolute close angle, suitable for tiny plants, flower, insects and more.

The camera app also offers various modes including Dual-View video, AR Lens, Monochrome, Panorama, Slo-Mo and more.

Apart from photography, the videography section of P30 Pro is also a whole new approach from Huawei, which included OIS and AIS techs reduces screen shakes to the lowest and to deliver a better video output.

For the maximum amount of productivity, the camera includes support for AI-powered HiVision that helps users to identify an object, real-time translations, shop an item, Check calories, QR code and more by just pointing the camera to the direction of a particular object.

Battery:

Huawei P30 Pro has a full day battery capacity of 4,200mAh and 40W HUAWEI SuperCharge that charges a device from zero to 70 percent in 30 minutes.

With the addition of power-saving mode, the “Ultra power saving mode” allows users to optimize and maximize battery for longer use.

In our typical battery test, the phone ran all day without showing the “Low Battery” sign. Although, it may vary on the use case.

One more highlighted feature of this flagship is “Wireless reverse charging’ to charge other devices that support wireless charging and it may become pretty helpful in a condition to share some power with your friends but remember it to sips the energy of your phone.
