Update: Dec 14, 2018:

The latest rumor comes courtesy of a post on Weibo, which noted that the Huawei P30 Pro will come equipped with the Sony IMX607 sensor. Although this new sensor has yet to be officially announced, rumours point to this being an incredible piece of kit.

It will offer “exceptional low-illumination performance”, according to GizChina which has a report that includes a number of details about the upcoming sensor.

The Sony IMX607 will purportedly have lightning-fast autofocus speeds, advanced noise reduction, and three native ISOs. Despite fewer megapixels than the Huawei P20 Pro, the larger sensor size pegged for the Huawei P30 Pro would still make it a substantial improvement over its predecessor.

Update: Dec 13, 2018:

Huawei P20 Pro impressed when it launched earlier this year thanks to its triple camera sensor, followed by the exceptional Mate 20 Pro. The Huawei P30 Pro is expected to exceed the camera performance boundaries and one concept creator has shared a render of what the 2019 flagship might look like. It certainly raises the bar in both design and camera capability.

The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro cases leaked quite recently, and Ben Geskin has already created a render that is inspired by those case leaks. As you can see, the source created a phone made out of metal and glass, which are almost certainly the materials that Huawei will use in order to bring this handset to life.

The device features a teardrop notch on the front, and extremely thin bezels above and below the display, almost non-existent.
