Huawei P30 Lite begin receiving July 2020 security update

Huawei has now pushed a new EMUI update for Huawei P30 Lite with the latest security improvements of July 2020. Users are recommended to download this update for better system security.

A few days ago, P30 lite consumers in the UK received the June security update, while there’s no confirmation about its EMUI 10.1 eligibility at the moment.

July 2020 Security Patch Details:

The July 2020 security update installs Android patches from Huawei and Google, fixing different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 5 critical and 9 high levels of CVEs. There is no Medium and Low level of CVEs found.

SOFTWARE VERSION:

The July 2020 security update for Huawei P30 lite comes with EMUI 10 version 10.0.0.247 and an update size of 129MB.

To check for updates on your phone, follow the steps below:

Via Settings:

• Software update
• CHECK FOR UPDATES
• Download and install

Via Support:

• Support (HiCare) app
• Services Tab
• Update
• CHECK FOR UPDATES
• Download and install

If a new version is in there, submit your application and the new EMUI version will be pushed to your phone.

After receiving the new update, follow the onscreen instructions to update your phone.
