The October 2021 security patch is making its way to more Huawei P30 devices in the global market. Last week, Huawei has initially began the rollout of this new software version and since then, it is expanding gradually.

According to the Huaweiblog, this latest Huawei P30 smartphone update prioritizes the installation of the October 2021 EMUI security patch. It enhances the system security by fixing 13 high level, 37 medium, and 6 low levels of CVE’s.

New EMUI Version: Huawei P30 smartphone is receiving upgraded EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.174 with an update size of 215MB.

To be mentioned, the P30 is one of the popular smartphones of Huawei and has a large of number shipped devices across the globe. So, the update may take some time to reach you.

EMUI 12 confirmed:

Huawei P30 global variant is currently working on EMUI 11 software system. But, the company has officially confirmed that it is compatible to upgrade over EMUI 12 major software version.

A few days ago, EMUI 12 beta testing began for the flagship smartphones belonging to P40, Mate 40, and Mate 30 series in some major markets. Moreover, the rollout of the official EMUI 12 version will start in the H1 of 2022.

Huawei P30 standard version sports a 6.1 inch OLED display with 2340 x 1080p resolution, powered by Kirin 980 processor, EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9, and 3650mAh battery.

This phone features a triple rear camera system consisting of a 40MP primary camera, 16MP ultra-wide-angle, and 8MP telephoto camera. On the other hand, it has a 32MP front camera.
