Huawei is allegedly working on a mid-range Nova foldable which could launch in early August this year. That says a reporter after getting some new hints from multiple sources. He also points out shifts in the pricing of the upcoming folding phone.

Cailianshe – the reporter of Science and Tech corner from a daily news channel notes that the Huawei Nova foldable may launch in early August. The detail is obedient to a previous report which implied the existence of Huawei’s mid-range fold.

Tipster @FixedFocus had mentioned that the Nova folding device codenamed PSD is on the way and might hit the ground in August. A similar device has recently been listed on the 3C certification and confirmed to support 66W fast charging.

The latest information adds that the Huawei Nova foldable will likely be more expensive than the Nova 12 series. Although it would cost less than the Pocket 2 clamshell.

For reference, the Huawei Nova 12 Ultra model price starts from 4699 yuan ($658) whereas, the Pocket 2 cost for the base storage version is 7499 yuan ($1033).

Further inputs reveal that the Chinese phone maker may upgrade the cover display design for its Nova foldable phone over the newly launched Pocket 2 handset. However, the company has not confirmed any of these details so far.

But still, we can expect to see fresh enhancements with the next folding device. Apart from the mid-range clamshell, the company is also working on the Nova 13 series smartphones. All models of this lineup will likely bring the Kirin 9010 5G chip.

A few leaks say that the next Nova lineup is ready and may soon initiate mass production. Probably, the company might release the new phone line the next month.
