Huawei Nova 9 smartphone users are quite happy as they have started receiving the April 2024 security improvements. Despite the new rollout being slightly late, the update carries beneficial aspects and aims to improve the phone’s current health.

The tech giant is running behind in terms of security patch distribution this month, but it’s for good. A reason behind this delay seems to be EMUI 14 beta preparation for top-end devices that might soon move to other eligible phones in global regions.

Huawei Nova 9 is getting the April 2024 security improvements with the EMUI version 13.0.0.306. The firmware is arriving in Europe with a ‘not-so-big’ software package of 370 Megabytes. Yet we suggest keeping enough storage space in your device.

The changelog doesn’t have major changes except for the April 2024 patch which is a beneficial add-on as it eliminates over 14 vulnerabilities from the device.

It also covers 2 privacy exposure voids that might result in porting buggy apps or malicious threats to your Nova 9 smartphone, resulting in freezing or system crash.

Hence you should install the update as it reaches the notification panel of your handset. If not, make your way to the system settings for a manual installation.

Just open the Settings app and select the System & Updates section. Now tap on the Software Updates and click on Check for Updates. The device will fetch you the latest firmware version if available. Once done, click on the Download and Install tab.
