Huawei Nova 8i gets February 2023 update [EMUI 11]

Huawei is rolling out a new update for the Nova 8i smartphone in the global market. Unfortunately, it doesn’t bring EMUI 12 for the smartphone instead, Huawei Nova 8i users are getting February 2023 security update.

According to the information, the Huawei Nova 8i smartphone currently runs EMUI 11 and Huawei is sending the February 2023 security update for the device with EMUI version 11.0.1.237. Don’t forget that there’s a download package size of 320 megabytes.

Users should note that the phone will upgrade gradually in different countries. The update notification will pop up in the notification bar, or you can check for the latest firmware manually via Settings.

To check for the firmware, enter the system Settings > from here tap on System & settings > tap on Software updates.

Judging from the latest update, we can see that the phone may not be receiving regular updates, and users may have to check via HiSuite to get this firmware installed. If you are also falling into the same category, then try the HiSuite PC app to check for a new software update.

This phone comes in three colors – Moonlight Silver, Interstellar Blue, and Starry Black. The phone expands to 161.85mm in height, 74.7mm in width, 8.58mm in depth, and 190g in weight. It equips Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset with Adreno 610 GPU. The phone has EMUI 11 pre-installed with new smart features and 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage.

The phone comes with a 64 MP High-Res lens (f/1.9 aperture), 8 MP Ultra-Wide Angle Lens (f/2.4 aperture), 2 MP Depth Lens (f/2.4 aperture), and 2 MP Macro Lens (f/2.4 aperture). Huawei Nova 8i packs a 4300mAh battery that could recharge with a whopping 66W super-fast charger.
