Huawei Nova 7i (EMUI 10.1) receiving new apps and system stability improvements update

Huawei Nova 7i comes with a quad-camera system, a full-view display with a punch-hole design, and a new sleek design that looks in users’ hands. The Huawei Nova 7i runs EMUI 10.1 software system and users didn’t receive an upgrade over EMUI 11.

Yet, its Chinese counterpart – Huawei Nova 6 SE has already secured a place in the HarmonyOS 2 beta testing, which makes Nova 7i receive the same update but the company is not making any move on the rollout roadmap for the global users.

Meanwhile, the round of software rollouts continues and Huawei is sending new security patches as well as system improvements to the eligible device owners.

In the latest chapter of the Huawei Nova 7i story, this device is now getting a new software update that brings a number of important changes.

According to the information, the latest firmware version for the Huawei Nova 7i comes with improvements for system stability and adds quick download shortcuts for a number of apps.

The changelog reveals that this is the follow-up upgrade to the May 2021 security patch and comes with EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.0.325 and an update package size of 206MB.

Users can upgrade to this software version by check-in into the system settings via the following instructions.

Before you upgrade:

  • The device must have a better battery backup to install this update that is a minimum of 50%.
  • It’s compulsory to check your storage availability(Internal/External SDcard) to download the latest update as per the size required
  • A strong WiFi/mobile data connection is required for a buffer-free download of the package.

Download via Settings:

  • Open Settings
  • Click on the System & Updates
  • Open Software update
  • Tap on Check for updates option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device

Download via Support app:

  • Open the Support app on your device
  • Go to the Service tab
  • Click on the update button
  • Tap on Check for update option
  • If an update is available, click on Download and install
  • After installation Reboot the device
