Huawei has started to rollout a new software update for the Nova 7 series devices in China, which brings new security patches released in March 2022. This software update is directed toward the following models with the HarmonyOS operating system:

  • Nova 7 5G (JEF-AN00)
  • Nova 7 5G (JEF-AN20)
  • Nova 7 5G (JEF-TN00)
  • Nova 7 5G (JEF-TN20)
  • Nova 7 Pro 5G (JER-AN10)
  • Nova 7 Pro 5G (JER-AN20)
  • Nova 7 Pro 5G (JER-TN10)
  • Nova 7 Pro 5G (JER-TN20)

Changes in this software:

The March 2022 update for Huawei Nova 7 Series comes with HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.230, upgrading from HarmonyOS 2.0.0.221. This update has a bunch of new improvements for the consumers.

According to the changelog, the March 2022 Huawei Nova 7 series update for the corresponding models has new super device feature improvements. Talking specifically, the consumer will get better support for the Super Device feature for connecting devices such as smartwatches, bands as well as the new Huawei MateView display for the multi-scene collaboration feature.

There is another functionality that adds a Senior mode settings screen for easier management of settings that seniors may find useful, including a larger font size and a longer touch response time.

Furthermore, the update package will install March 2022 security patches for the improved system security for your smartphone.

This update is rolling out in batches in China and the expansion will begin gradually among the eligible models of the Huawei Nova 7 series.

To update the Huawei Nova 7 series device, you need to visit the software update section via Settings > System & updates > Software updates > DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL, from here you can proceed with the on-screen instructions to get the latest software version for the Huawei nova 7 device.

On the flip side, you have the My Huawei app, once opened you need to tap on the update section, hit update, and then update now, followed by usual instructions.
