Huawei Nova 14 series smartphones launching on May 19

It’s official! Today, Huawei scheduled the launch of the Nova 14 series smartphones for May 19. The ultimate mid-range lineup will debut alongside the first-ever HarmonyOS PC. At the same time, we may find some more offerings on the stage.

After months of launch rumors, Huawei has just made it official that the all-new Nova 14 smartphones will debut on May 19. It will be a grand event unveiling the latest HarmonyOS 5 software features, a new Windows-free notebook, and more.

Huawei has dropped a new teaser image on its official Weibo page. While the poster doesn’t reveal details about the new lineup, it confirms the release time.

The caption reads:

“The stars are shining brightly. Nova 14 series and HarmonyOS computer new product launch conference, see you at 14:30 on May 19!”

Following the Pura X foldable, the Huawei Nova 14 series will be the first mid-range lineup to come with HarmonyOS 5.0 out of the box and unlock a stable experience.

Apart from the new Nova handsets and the HarmonyOS PC, the company may also launch a few smart home products or smart glasses at the May 19 launch event.

Early revelations say that the Nova 14 series will introduce three models: Standard, Pro, and Ultra. The first two variants could feature a new Kirin 8 series chip, while the high-end version may bring an optimized Kirin 9 series processor.

The lineup is also expected to feature Huawei Mate 70’s multi-spectral lens to take the photography experience to the next level. Nova 13 has gathered a lot of attention for its camera skills, and the company may continue this trend with new models.

Design seems to be another major upgrade for the Nova 14 series. The tech giant may give a more innovative touch to its next-gen mid-range models this time.
