Huawei Nova 14 series may get a surprising design refresh

Huawei Nova 14 series design details surfaced online. This time, the company may opt for some surprising upgrades over the previous-gen lineup. There could be a major overhaul in terms of the display and back cover of the upcoming Nova phones.

Tipster @FixedFocus reveals that the Huawei Nova 14 series design could be more surprising than ever. The OEM may use new materials to craft the new Nova lineup.

Over time, Huawei has given subtle makeovers to its Nova devices. Whether it’s the Nova 9 series phones or the 12th one, every model has shown the same elongated camera module with slight changes in the lens arrangement.

Nova 13 Pro appeared with some exceptions and unveiled a brand-new plaid design. The checkered pattern over the cloth-like material makes the device grip convenient than ever. Now the leak hints at more surprises in the Nova family.

Inputs further reveal that Huawei may innovate the appearance of the Nova 14’s front and back panel. However, it would be worth seeing if the standard variant also gets a new look or follows the Nova 13 Pro patterns, just like its predecessors.

Huawei Nova 14 series will likely launch in the second half of this year. The company is currently busy with the flagship Pura 80 lineup which may debut in Q2 2025.

Nova 13 Series – Design

Unlike the Nova 12 series which has four models, the Nova 13 lineup brings two variants: Standard and Pro. The former is identical to the Nova 12 Ultra. Hence, the same strategy is expected for the Nova 14 vanilla variant as well.

Meanwhile, the Pro model comes in a new avatar with a more cylindrical lens bump. The lenses are arranged in a squarish form and give a distinct look to the device. Nova 13 Pro also has additional camera sensors over the standard variant.
