Huawei Nova 14 series

Huawei has announced its latest Nova series products – Nova 14, 14 Pro, and 14 Ultra with new display technology, a high-quality camera system, and eye-catching design patterns.

The top of the line – Nova 14 Ultra brings an LTPO screen with a center-positioned hole-punch cutout. The Nova 14 Ultra has a two-layer camera bump design, the first includes a dual LED flash. Unlike the base layer, the second layer has a round outlook that reflects the Mate series, featuring diamond-cut side texture.

The primary camera consists of a 50MP RYYB sensor featuring variable aperture and anti-shake technology. The phone will switch between f/1.4 and f/4.0 apertures, covering broader aspects of photography and videography.

The second one is an RYYB ultra-wide-angle macro lens with a 120-degree field of view. Nova 14 Ultra brings a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3.7x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom powered by an f/2.2 aperture. The setup also includes a color sensor providing 1.5 million multispectral channels.

Nova 14 Ultra offers dual selfie cameras – a 50MP portrait lens f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP front zoom camera with 5x close-up zoom and 2x optical zoom. It is powered by Huawei’s self-developed DaVinci Portrait Engine 3.0, specially designed to capture scene-based portrait images.

The Huawei Nova 14 series runs HarmonyOS 5 and supports generative AI image editing, object eraser, pre-shot suggestions, and more. Users can share files with another device using Air Drop gesture, and NFC-powered payment cards are also enabled by default. HarmonyOS for these devices has a live window UI upgrade with increased visibility and more service support in China.

In terms of connectivity, the Nova 14 Ultra comes with Wi-Fi 7+ for more coverage, higher transfer rate, lower lag rate, and anti-interference. That’s not it, this device has a 5500mAh battery to provide a large power backup, and 100W superfast charging.

The Nova 14 Pro sports a 50MP RYYB variable aperture main camera, a 12MP telephoto camera, and an ultra-wide angle camera, as well as a primary color sensor.

The phone has a 6.78-inch LTPO screen with a pill-shaped cutout to house a dual 50MP camera system. The Pro model packs a 5500mAh battery with 100W super-fast charging.

The standard Nova 14 has a slim appearance with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2160Hz touch sampling rate screen. It has a 50MP main camera, an ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 12MP telephoto camera.

Unlike Pro and Ultra, the standard version brings a single 50MP camera, but it supports the same portrait photography features. Despite the camera downgrade, the company will ship this phone with a 5500mAh battery and 100W turbo charging.
