Huawei Nova 14 in pipeline with Kirin 9 series chip: Leak
Huawei Nova 14 series is tipped to be in the pipeline with a distinct Kirin 9 chip. The mid-range lineup may debut later this year. However, whether it will pack a new 9 series chipset or use an old Kirin processor would be worth considering.
The phone maker is seemingly working on the next-gen Pura models. Ahead of that, the Nova 14 series has started peeking through the doors of leaks and rumors.
DigitalChatStation says that Huawei plans a large production volume for the next-gen Nova lineup. The tipster adds that the Nova 14 series will bring a Kirin 9000 series chipset. It is unclear if this processor will be a newbie or an old member.
Nova 13 series launched in October last year with the Kirin 8000. While the lineup was expected to equip a flagship-level chipset, it launched with a mid-range SoC.
Huawei Nova 12 lineup also debuted with Kirin 9 series derivatives. As per info, the standard and Pro models run on Kirin 8000 whereas, the Ultra has Kirin 9000SL.
These details hint that the Huawei Nova 14 series smartphones may use an old Kirin chip rather than a new one. Although the good news is that instead of the 8 series, we may find a flagship Kirin 9 series processor in the upcoming lineup.
Perhaps the company may introduce a new derivative of the Kirin 9020 for the new Nova phones. Let’s wait for more information on this matter.
