Huawei Nova 13 series is selling ‘unexpectedly’ well in China. The mid-range lineup launched in October last year with some eye-catching camera features and innovative design. Perhaps these traits drew the consumers’ attention to the Nova handsets.

Weibo tipster @DigitalChatStation revealed that the Huawei Nova 13 series is selling quite well in China. Both Standard and Pro variants are getting immense attention for their beautiful plaid-pattern design and optimized Kirin 5G chip.

Another factor is the camera. Huawei has made impressive changes to the Nova 13 series optical segment, especially for the Pro variant. It features a tri-cam setup on the back and brings a couple of lenses for perfect selfies from every angle.

These traits seemingly made the mid-range Nova 13 series smartphones popular among consumers and raised their demand in the Chinese smartphone market.

Huawei Nova 13

The standard version features a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution (2412 x 1084 pixels), 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 300Hz touch sampling rate, 1.07 billion colors, and a P3 wide color gamut.

It runs on Kirin 8000 and pre-installs HarmonyOS 4.2. The device supports a dual-lens arrangement with a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide shooter. The front side has a 60MP 4K ultrawide-angle portrait camera. Nova 13 packs a battery of 5000mAh capacity with a 100W SuperFast Turbo charger.

Huawei Nova 13 Pro

Nova 13 Pro carries a 6.76-inch OLED panel with 2776 x 1224 pixels (FHD+) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and a P3 wide color gamut supporting 1.07 billion colors.

The internal configuration of the Pro variant such as the chipset, OS, and battery is the same as its standard sibling. But in terms of camera, the device features three lenses with a 50MP main shooter, an 8MP ultrawide-angle macro lens, and a 3X telephoto portrait sensor. The front has a 60MP lens and a 5x zoom portrait camera.
