Huawei Nova 12 series phones getting AI Best Expression feature

Huawei is bringing the Nova 13 Pro’s AI Best Expression feature to the Nova 12 lineup with the latest HarmonyOS NEXT 5.0.0.130 public beta. The new testing version also releases useful optimizations for file sharing, privacy, and security section.

AI Best Expression feature is available for Chinese and global Nova 13 series users. Now the company is expanding the reach of this photo-editing tool to more devices.

Nova 13 Pro’s AI Best Expression selects the perfect expressions of a face from past pictures and suggests to you whenever you want to change the look in the shot.

Simply put, it allows you to correct your expressions even when the image is captured. It analyzes multiple photos taken in the past and selects the best expression for each person in the selfie or groupfie, ensuring open eyes and a cute smile.

The Chinese phone maker is rolling out the HarmonyOS NEXT 5.0.0.130 beta update for the standard Huawei Nova 13 and Nova 12 with AI Best Expression feature.

Apart from the expression feature, Huawei is offering seamless data transfer between Main Space and Private Space. It also enhances the file-sharing management with the new beta. You can check the changelog below.

• The AI photo editing section has added a new “Best Expression” feature, which can select expressions from multiple group photos and intelligently process them to generate beautiful photos.

• Optimize the display of the “Recent” page, support grouped display in the aggregate view, support classified browsing of source information and improve file search efficiency.
• Browse adds a new Network Neighbourhood feature, which allows you to access files on your home storage or computer through Network Neighbourhood.
• Optimize the search experience, support category search, and filtering, and improve search efficiency.

System

• Long press the home screen application icon to quickly share the application.
• Optimize the system stability in some scenarios.

Note: The company is rolling out the new AI Best Expression feature for the Nova 12 and 13 series. Whether other models are compatible with this tool will be known later.
