Huawei might start Pura 80 series Pioneer Program on March 20

Huawei will unveil some new Pura products on March 20, and the company might initiate the Pioneer Program for the Pura 80 series on the same day. It is the new launch event’s name that is sparking several kinds of interesting speculations.
Pioneer is a very significant term in the Huawei world. The company brought this word to reality with the Mate 60 series and continued it till the Pura 70 launch.
The Pioneer Program is a special scheme where the company introduced its flagship products directly, without any teasers or promotions. Huawei began this scheme to shield itself from the U.S. authorities’ gaze and unnecessary chip regulations.
While the program results in a surprising launch, it also allows customers to experience the flagship model way before their official sale. But it runs on first order, first receive service, and only a few buyers can benefit from it due to limited units.
Last year, Huawei launched this program for the Pura 70 series. Many users expected the same treatment for the Mate 70 smartphones as well. But the company launched the powerful lineup through a grand-scale release event, as of which, some netizens predicted that the company may only use Pioneer Plan for Pura models.
It seems the prediction is coming true. The upcoming Huawei launch event’s name hints that the company might begin the Pioneer Program for the Pura 80 series on March 20, launching it later in the second quarter of this year.
Early revelations suggested that the Pura 80 series would debut in May or June this year. A rumor even predicted that the flagship lineup could be delayed till July. But in the end, it depends on Huawei if it initiates the Pioneer Plan next week and launch Pura 80 later, or unveil it directly at a big event in May.
