Huawei MateStation X: First all in one PC featuring 28.2-inch display

For the first time in its launch history, Huawei has now unveiled the first All In One PC – Huawei MateStation X. This is the first Huawei PC product that has all of the desktop computer features combined into one device.

According to Huawei, Huawei MateStation X all-in-one PC features chassis that expands 614.16mm x529.74mm x 187mm and weighs about 9Kg. Both of these characteristics suit perfectly and takes limited space according to the size.

Display:

Huawei MateStation X has a 28.2 inch IPS screen with 98% P3 screen color, 3:2 screen ratio, a 4K plus resolution (3840 x 2560 pixels). The display has a uniqueness that reflects in its 178 degree viewing angles with 164PPI. More importantly, the screen supports ten-point touch interactions.

That’s not it, to provide an immersive viewing experience the screen supports 1200:1 contrast, 500 nit brightness, and the highest screen to body ratio of 92% percent which leaves the bezels at the very corner and exceeds a full view display. The display has DeltaE <1 color standard and supports HDR 400 better picture quality.

Performance:

The MateStation X is powered by the 7nm AMD Ryzen processors in the combination of:

1. Ryzen 5 5600H + 16GB DDR 3200MHz RAM + 512GB M.2 2280 interface SSD
2. Ryzen 7 5800H + 16GB DDR 3200MHz RAM + 512GB M.2 2280 interface SSD

AMD Ryzen 5 5600H has 6 core CPUs with a base frequency of 3.0 GHz, highest frequency of 4.1 GHz. Both versions have integrated the Radeon Graphics card for improved graphics performance.

Sound:

This is an all-in-one PC and Huawei is taking care of the entertainment that consumers to match its screen size. Therefore, Huawei MateStation X comes with 2 full-range speakers (5W) and 1 (10W) subwoofer, and the sound quality is tweaked by Diavlet German sound maker.

Moreover, there are 4 microphones placed inside this computer to catch your voice from all possible directions.

Operating system and smart features:

Huawei MateStation has pre-installed Windows 10 64-bit Home Edition. There are smart features including Huawei Share, PC Manager, F10 One-Key Restore, Keyboard One-Key Fingerprint Boot, Smart Voice, and more.

Keyboard and Accessories:

Huawei MateStation X comes with a pre-built keyboard and mouse. To be mentioned, the keyboard supports a fingerprint sensor with a one-touch unlock feature.

The Huawei All-in-one PC has 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax dual-frequency, WIFI 6 working at a frequency of 2.4GHz and 5GHz along with Bluetooth 5.1.

Ports:

Time to learn about its ports system, the Huawei MateStation X comes with has a 3.5mm TRRS Stereo headset jack. Dual-channel/3.5mm/UAJ line sequence and compatible with OMTP (international) & CTIA (American standard).

There are two USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) USB A interfaces including 5V/2A external power supply. On the other hand, the AIO PC has two USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) USB-C interfaces.

Huawei MateStation AMD R5 version is priced at 9999 yuan (1549 USD) and the R7 version is priced at 11999 yuan (1859 USD). This all in one computer comes in two different colors of White and Gray.

Huawei is rolling out HarmonyOS 3.0.0.193 software update for two tablets – MatePad 11 and MatePad Pro 10.8. This update comes with new improvements for these large-screen devices.

Huawei is rolling out HarmonyOS 3.0.0.193 for MatePad 11, upgrading from HarmonyOS 3.0.0.190/163. While on the other hand, Huawei MatePad Pro 10.8 is getting HarmonyOS 3.0.0.193 upgrading from HarmonyOS 3.0.0.163. Below you can check the eligible tablet models to get a new software update.

  • Huawei MatePad Pro 10.8 2021 WiFi MRR-W29

This new firmware adds support for the PC mobile engine, which would enable to use of the PC version of the WPS office on a tablet. Furthermore, Huawei is installing the latest security patch for these two tablets with January 2023 HarmonyOS security update.

Huawei PC market growth is against the trends: CEO

Over the past two years, Huawei has improved its Consumer Business portfolio in all products including PCs, and Huawei Consumers Business Group CEO, Yu Chengdong said that the company is moving towards growth in the PC market amid an industry-wide slowdown.

According to Gartner, worldwide PC shipments accounted for a total of 65.3 million units in the fourth quarter of 2022, which is a massive 28.5% decline as compared to the same quarter last year.

Garter mentioned that this is the largest quarterly shipment decline in the PC market since the market researcher began tracking the PC market in the mid-1990.

Huawei CEO said that Huawei PC products attained rapid growth in 2022 and the overall sales expanded rapidly. The Chinese tech maker has also achieved digital growth and a new milestone in key industries.

Huawei to launch new tablet in Q2 this year

This year is different and we could expect a number of new tablet device devices from Huawei, in that place, new tablet devices could launch in the Q2 of this year.

Inputs reveal that Huawei could launch a new tablet lineup in Q2 because Huawei has a big launch event in the first quarter. However, there’s a minor possibility that Huawei may reschedule the tablet launch to an early or later date.

Last year, Huawei unveiled a number of new tablets, these include the new MatePad Pro 11 (2022), the new MatePad Pro 12.6, the MatePad SE, and a number of other additions in the global market.

Currently, there’s no new input available on the tablets but we may come in the near future. It is possible that the upcoming tablet will be powered by the latest Snapdragon and HarmonyOS 3.1 technologies but we’ll wait for new remarks from Huawei.
