Huawei MatePad Pro 5G launches in China, price starts at 5299 yuan ($740)

On May 27, Huawei has launched the 5G version of Huawei MatePad Pro in China. This new tablet comes with Kirin 990 5G chipset and NSA/SA dual-mode 5G network architecture for seamless connectivity.

Huawei MatePad Pro is the world’s first tablet that comes with hole-punch display and supports 5G, and first in Huawei to come with a new M-Pen, supporting 4096 pressure sensitivity to improve users’ productivity.

Huawei MatePad Pro 5G sports a 10.8-inch display with 2K QHD resolution (2560×1600) with punch-hole design and 289 PPI. It features 7nm Kirin 990 5G SoC with 8GB RAM and 256GB/512GB internal storage (expandable).

The tablet packs with a 7250mAh battery that recharges with 40W SuperCharge, 15 wireless charging, and 7.5W reverse wireless charging.

The MatePad Pro 5G equips a 13MP f/1.8 aperture rear camera and 8MP f/2.0 aperture front camera. It delivers high-quality audio powered by Histen 6.0 and tuned by Harmon Kardon.

From the software side, MatePad Pro runs EMUI 10.1 (Android 10) with GPU Turbo 3, multi-screen collaboration, multi-screen multiwindow, and more smart features.

Huawei MatePad Pro 5G expands at 246mm x 159mm x 7.99mm and weighs at 492g. It has two color options orange and forest green.

Huawei MatePad Pro 5G 8GB+256GB version priced at 5299 CNY ($740).

Huawei MatePad Pro 5G 8GB+512GB version priced at 6799 CNY ($949).

The Pre-order of Huawei MatePad Pro 5G will start on May 27 and first sell on June 11 in China. Huawei is yet to confirm its overseas availability.
