Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6 and MatePad Pro 10.8 getting new HarmonyOS 2 update

Huawei has started sending a new HarmonyOS 2.0 software update for Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6 and MatePad Pro 10.8 tablets in China. The rollout has started at the initial stage and may take some time to reach every eligible device.

This new firmware treats both the MatePad Pro 10.8 and MatePad Pro 12.6 differently. For MatePad Pro 10.8, includes optimizations in the call settings in some scenarios and improves the overall system stability.

Whereas, it carries some additional improvements for the MatePad Pro 12.6 tablet. It improves the anti-misuse experience by adjusting the forced restart method.

To enter the forced restart mode, you need to press and hold the power button for more than 10 seconds. Moreover, it also optimizes the UI experience of opening an application.

• Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6-inch: Latest HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.170 upgraded from version 2.0.0.155.
• Huawei MatePad Pro 10.8-inch: Latest HarmonyOS 2.0 version 2.0.0.175 upgraded from version 2.0.0.162.

Things to remember:

• Make sure your device is not root.
• Maintain enough battery and storage on your devices.
• Use a stable connection to download the update package.
• This update won’t erase your data, but we recommend you take a backup in advance.

Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6:
