Huawei MatePad Pro 11 and 13.2 tablets get OpenHarmony 5.0.1 certificate
Huawei MatePad Pro 11 2024 and 13.2 tablets have recently qualified for the OpenHarmony 5.0.1 certification. After flagship phones and foldable models, the company has now listed the top-end tablets on the OpenHarmony compatibility test.
Up to this point, many models have become compatible with OpenHarmony 5.0.1. The list includes the newly launched Mate 70 series and the Mate X6 foldable.
The Mate 60 series, Mate X5, Pocket 2, and Nova 12 Ultra also passed the OpenHarmony 5.0.1 compatibility test and support the HarmonyOS NEXT 5.0.0.120.
Now Huawei MatePad Pro 11 2024 and MatePad Pro 13.2 tablets received the OpenHarmony 5.0.1 certificate. The software version of these devices is upgraded to 5.0.0.120. Huawei will soon roll out the new HarmonyOS NEXT beta to these models.
Pura 70 series is still left to qualify for the OpenHarmony 5.0.1 compatibility process. However, it will receive the respective certification in the time ahead.
OpenHarmony 5.0.1 compatibility is quite important for Huawei devices. It inspects whether the device can run on new software versions or requires only normal security rollouts. It further looks if these models can meet industrial requirements.
Huawei will likely make more devices compatible with the OpenHarmony versions as the HarmonyOS NEXT update distribution progresses. You can check the complete HarmonyOS NEXT upgrade roadmap in the below section.
