Huawei MatePad Air is coming and it will be the industry’s first large-screen device featuring 40W UFCS fast fusion charging protocol. This is a new addition to Huawei’s tablet lineup and will improve the device’s charging experience.

According to the information, Huawei will launch this new tablet on May 18th during the Summer 2023 press conference. The teaser hints that the MatePad Air will be thinner and lighter than other tablet devices. And it’s suitable for an easy-to-carry productivity powerhouse.

Huawei MatePad Air has received the UFCS-integrated fast charging certification, which is also the first tablet to support integrated 40W fast charging. According to the information, the UFCS standard has been released and commanded by the Green Energy Working Group (WG10). The WG10 is formed by Huawei, OPPO, Vivo, Xiaomi, and the Institute of Information and Communications Technology.

As for now, there are three versions of this tablet spotted online including a WiFi version (DBY2-W00), and two 4G versions (DBY2-AL00, DBY2Z-AL00). These packs with an 8200mAh battery and support 40W super fast charging.

The fusion of a large battery and super-fast charging will create a long-lasting and easy-to-recharge user experience. On the other hand, the lightweight design will make it easy to carry around in all scenarios.
