Huawei Mate XT tri-fold receiving new clock style and wallpaper features

Huawei is releasing a new software update for the Mate XT tri-fold, which unlocks useful features for the clock style and wallpaper section. The latest firmware is rolling out gradually to the device owners and will soon be available to all eligible units.

The company began testing HarmonyOS 5.0.1 version for Huawei Mate XT in March. Now it is sending the first public beta build to the respective foldable device.

Looking into the changelog, Huawei Mate XT is receiving the new clock and wallpaper features through the HarmonyOS 5.0.1.125 update. One should have the baseline version 5.0.1.120 to jump on the latest firmware.

The update is bringing a beautiful clock style for the home/lock screen. It adds a new one-shot dynamic effect. There is also a multi-screen wallpaper feature that will let you set a poster individually for every screen. You can check the changelog below.

Home Screen and Personalization

Clock

• The lock screen and home screen use a more beautiful Ultimate clock style by default.

Theme

• The system theme adds a new one-shot dynamic effect. From the off-screen to the lock screen, and then to the home screen. The image will appear coherent and smooth, showing immersive visual effects.

Wallpaper

• Adding a new multi-screen wallpaper. You can set a favorite wall poster for single screen, dual screen, and triple cross, one screen, one story, making each unfolding unique and beautiful.

Screen off display

• Added a new full-screen style. The screen-off interface will appear in full screen, showing richer content. The screen-off image will also echo the lock screen wallpaper, giving you a better visual experience (open: Settings > Desktop and Personalization > Screen-off Display)
