Huawei Mate Xs will be unveiled during MWC 2020

At MWC 2019, Huawei unveiled the first version of Mate X and the next version is likely to make a debut at the next year’s MWC, which will kick on February 24 in Barcelona, Spain.

In a recent interview with French media, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer BG told that a new Huawei Mate X will be launched at MWC 2020 and come with a better hinge, a better resistant screen and the latest Kirin 990, reported Frandroid.

However, it seems like Richard was talking about the Huawei Mate Xs 5G equipped with Kirin 990 5G and scheduled to be listed in March in China.

The official also confirmed that Huawei will keep bringing new foldable smartphones in the future with a focus on different design aspects.

Huawei Mate X 5G:

The Mate X sports a foldable OLED display that measures 8-inches with 2480 x 2200 resolution while unfolded and during the fold, the display parts 6.6 inches (2480 x 1148) for the front side, 6.38 inches (2480 x 1148) for the backside.

This foldable phone is powered by Kirin 980 processor and Balong 5000 modem for 5G connectivity. Huawei has also announced a new Kirin 990 (5G) powered Huawei Mate Xs will be launched in March 2020.

Huawei Mate X comes with 8GB RAM + 512GB of storage and runs EMUI 9.1 (Android 9) upgradable to Android 10. It features Leica quad camera setup of 40MP Wide Angle (f/1.8) + 16MP Ultra Wide Angle (f/2.2) + 8MP Telephoto (f/2.4) + 3D depth camera.

The Huawei Mate X is equipped with a 4500mAh battery supporting a 55W Huawei SuperCharge that can recharge up to 85% battery in about 30 minutes.
