  • It is the world’s first foldable with satellite calling

Huawei today announced the listing of the Huawei Mate Xs 2 foldable under the refurbished section. The phone comes in three variants including a 256GB version at 7399 yuan, the 512GB version priced at 8399 yuan, and 9499 yuan for the 512GB Collector’s Edition.

Launched last year, the Huawei Mate Xs 2 is the next-generation outward folding smartphone. Huawei has pioneered such a folding mechanism with the first model in the series. Later in 2022, Huawei announced a new satellite SMS feature for the smartphone, which is seeded through the phone.

The smartphone was capable of running this tech since the very beginning but the company seemingly waited for the Huawei Mate 50 Pro launch, which also happened around October in China. Thus allowing the company to finally enable it via software update. In action, the Huawei Mate Xs 2 can send SMS without requiring the mobile network.

The remarkable feature of the phone is its foldable screen, which expands to 7.78 inches wide and it can become 6.5 inches tall once folded like a smartphone. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G chipset and Adreno 660 GPU. It has a triple rear camera system including a 50MP main camera, 13MP ultra-wide, and an 8MP telephoto camera.

Refurbished:

Huawei’s official refurbished program includes Huawei’s original components. All of them are brand new and have original accessories. The outer design is similar to a new device. Also, the phone will come with a one-year warranty.
