The Mate X is the world’s thinnest foldable phone, the world’s first 5G phone, and it also has the world’s fastest charging solution. The Huawei Mate X will start at a whopping price of 2299 euros ($2600).

Huawei said it has an advantage over other companies launching 5G smartphones because it provides the full range of equipment needed to get wireless networks up and running.

Huawei said, the Kirin 980 and Balong 5000 modem are capable of 4.6Gbps downlink speeds, which is double the industry standard for 5G and ten times what’s currently available with 4G networks.

Huawei Mate X launched at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona.
