Huawei‘s first-gen foldable phone – Huawei Mate X is getting the June 2021 update. According to the information, this update is rolling out for the devices running EMUI 11 and basically integrates the latest security patches for improved system security

For your information, the Huawei Mate X June 2021 security update comes with EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.145 upgrading from EMUI 11.0.0.143. To be mentioned, the update is rolling out in China but the global owners may receive it soon as well.

Information suggests that June 2021 EMUI security patch fixes for different levels of issues and exploits including include 2 critical and 13 high levels of CVEs. These changes are made to the system, keep your smartphone secure while running different applications and accessing internet services.

How to check for updates:

via Settings:

  • Open Settings and click on System & Updates, then open Software update.
  • Tap on Check for updates option, if an update appears then click Download and install.
  • After installation reboot the device.

via Support app:

  • Open the Support app, then navigate to the Service tab and click on the Update button.
  • Now tap on Check for update option, if found any then click Download and install.
  • After the installation completes, reboot the device.
