Huawei Mate 80 series will bring custom OLED display technology

Huawei is working on significant upgrades for the Mate 80 series and a custom OLED display can be the main highlight in the lineup. A dual-layer OLED is already in the works for the upcoming flagship. But a new leak suggests some more changes.
SmartPikachu notes that the Huawei Mate 80 will use a customized dual-layer OLED technology that can hit revamped display brightness, better than its predecessor.
The tipster adds that the new screen solutions will boost three significant segments: color accuracy, power consumption, and eye protection from blue lights.
A good smartphone display ensures a user-friendly experience with ace brightness, high resolution, accurate colors, wide viewing angles, and a smooth touch response. These qualities contribute to clarity and appealing visual effects.
Huawei has used dual-layer OLED panels for its flagship tablets and the Mate 70 RS Ultimate Design to date. It has two overlapped light-emitting layers that operate separately at lower brightness to boost durability and reduce eye fatigue.
As a result, it provides higher brightness. The layers in this tech spread the electrical load across multiple layers and work independently, using less power.

It has a wider color gamut and maintains a comfortable viewing ability that leads to less strain on the eyes compared to single-layer OLED screens.
This time, the company is said to feature a customized tandem-OLED panel. It could be a fusion of anything, such as new materials, cutting-edge screen technology, an improved touch sensor layer, and more.
Mate 70 RS Ultimate is the first Huawei smartphone to use a dual-layer OLED + Adrenaline display technology. It has a peak brightness of 3500 nits with smart zone refresh and ultra-low power consumption for a wonderful overview.
It would be interesting to see how much of a major shine the Huawei Mate 80 series will get, compared to its predecessor.
