Huawei Mate 80 Pro may not feature a quad-curved screen

Huawei Mate 80 Pro smartphone is rumored to use a flat screen instead of a quad-curved display. The company usually adopts a curvy display solution for its high-end flagship models. But that might not be the case with the next Mate devices.
DigitalChatStation suggests that the Huawei Mate 80 Pro could use a flat screen. The tipster adds that the company is currently testing 3D face recognition and a flat display panel on the respective high-end model.
The leak simply reflects that Huawei may use flat screens for the standard and Mate 80 Pro variants. Meanwhile, it can adopt equal-depth quad-curved displays for the Pro+ and Ultimate Design models. Though an official confirmation awaits.
Mate 70 base handset comes with a flat frame and flat screen, while the Pro and Pro+ models boast iso-depth quad-curved panels. This time, Huawei is seemingly planning different display changes for the upcoming Mate 80 flagship.
Flat screens can deliver a more straightforward viewing experience than curved ones. They eliminate distortion at the edges and make the phone ideal for reading, typing, browsing, or watching videos.
The best part is they are easier to protect with screen protectors and cases, unlike the curved screens. These screens are cheaper to replace and less prone to accidental touches.
If you are someone who needs to do a lot of work using a phone, then a flat-screen device is the right choice for you.
