Huawei Mate 80 phones tipped to launch in December this year

Huawei Mate 80 series launch rumors began making space on the online social media platforms, and the latest one suggested that the flagship lineup will launch in December. The rumor is quite in line with some of the previous leaks.
A Weibo tipster reveals that the Huawei Mate 80 series will likely launch in December this year. The hashtags in the leak hint that the top-tier models will bring a new powerful Kirin 5G chip with better performance as well as device efficiency.
Besides, the input says that all of the Mate 80 smartphones will feature a flat screen instead of the curved ones. The company will integrate new display solutions to its devices but may remain confined to flat panels for upcoming handsets.
The OEM has reportedly increased the demand for flat-screen panels. As per its rumored supply intake, the company may continue to use flat display for future devices.

Huawei Flagship
The Chinese phone maker used to launch two flagship smartphone series in a year: P/Pura and Mate. Pura series mainly debuts in the first half of the year with impressive design and camera capabilities. It offers an upgraded photography experience.
On the flip side, the Mate models launch in the third or fourth quarter of the year, focusing on performance. The lineup introduces a new-gen Kirin chip with improved power efficiency, performance, and other functional aspects.
Launch Delay
A few leaks suggested that Huawei will postpone its flagship lineup launches this year. The latest example is the Pura 80 series, which is rumored to go official in August instead of May or July. The previous-gen models debuted in April last year.
The same delay could be noticed in the Mate 80 series release. Early rumors said that Huawei may unveil the new Mate models next year. Though the current leak refutes the rumor, hinting that we may see the powerful handsets by the end of 2025.
