Huawei Mate 80 flagship tipped to introduce two small-screen models

Huawei is planning incredible products for this year, and two of these could be small-screen Mate 80 flagship models. A new rumor says that the phone maker might unveil two mini top-end smartphones by the end of this year.
According to @DirectorShiGuan, Huawei could launch two small-screen-sized Mate 80 models this year. The flagship lineup will likely launch in the second half of 2025.
One of these devices could feature a 6.3-inch screen, while the other may have a 6.5-inch display panel. The alleged variants are smaller than the standard Mate 70.
Mate 70 (base version) has a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED screen. Meanwhile, the Pro and RS Ultimate Design handsets are equipped with 6.9-inch display panels.
Small-screen phones generally benefit from portability and ease of use. One can operate such devices with one hand and experience a lightweight touch, making them comfortable to hold and carry. They avoid the bulky feel in everyday situations.

While most of the Huawei phones offer mid-sized or large-sized screens, the company is now seemingly developing two small-screen flagship models for its consumers. Alongside pro-grade features, the devices might also bear a budget-friendly price.
Huawei launched a 6.3-inch foldable last month with a charming look and wide-enough screen. The device offers an appropriate display area for watching videos, reading e-books, or browsing the net without facing any interruptions.
Thus, we can expect surprising changes with the rumored Huawei Mate 80 mini handsets as well. Though an official confirmation on this matter still awaits.
Huawei used LTPO OLED screens for the Mate 70 series launched last year. It supports 1.07 billion colors, a 120Hz refresh rate, 2500 nits of maximum brightness, and second-gen Kunlun Glass support.
The tech giant has used a flat screen for the standard Mate 70 phone and curvy display panels for the other variants. But looks like the company may change its strategy this time, by equipping a flat screen panel to the Mate 80 Pro.
