Huawei could unveil the next Mate lineup – the Mate 80 series in September 2025.  The company is working on several top-end models at the moment. Although looks like it won’t delay the launch process of these smartphones, unlike last year.

A Weibo tipster has allegedly revealed the possible launch date of Huawei Mate 80 series – September 2025. The timeline is two months earlier than the Mate 70.

The tipster predicted the Mate 80 launch based on the Mate 70 series value preservation. Value preservation refers to the process of maintaining the value of a product or increasing it gradually over time. It also includes the renewal of services.

Details reveal that Huawei made certain changes to the value preservation date and renewal service of the Mate 70 series. Based on new alterations, the value preservation and renewal services for Mate 70 handsets will end on June 4, 2025.

On the flip side, the last batch of the Mate 70 series’s value preservation may come into effect on September 4. This further hints that the new Mate handsets may have the smallest life cycle as they came on the sale floor in December 2024.

Judging from these inputs, the Mate 80 series could debut by mid or end of September 2025. Though Huawei hasn’t confirmed the details yet.
