Huawei Mate 70 tipped to cross 2 million activation units this month

Huawei Mate 70 series is allegedly about to reach 2 million activation units this month. Looks like the flagship lineup is performing well in the Chinese phone market – thanks to its top-notch hardware capabilities and AI-integrated features.
A Weibo tipster recently revealed that the Huawei Mate 70 series could exceed 2 million activation units in January 2025. The top-end models may surpass the newly launched Xiaomi 15 series in terms of activation volume in the Chinese market.
The term “activation volume” refers to the total number of new smartphones actively used or being turned on for the first time within a specific period. It is the analysis of the overall level of new user adoption in the market over a product.
Simply put, activation volume shows how many new users are using the latest product in a given time. It indicates the popularity and consumer support of a particular device in the market. In that case, Huawei seems in a good spot due to Mate 70.
Mate 70 debuted in November last year and went on sale in December 2024. Huawei’s officials told in an interview that the lineup is in excessive demand, leading to overtime work of employees to meet consumers’ purchasing needs.
Perhaps, the new top-end Huawei Mate 70 models may surpass the shipment volume of its predecessors later this year.

Huawei Mate 70 series comes with four models: Standard, Pro, Pro+, and RS Ultimate Design. The lineup is full of amazing features such as a new design, unique hardware techs, advanced software features, and more.
