Huawei Mate 70 series will go global on February 18?

Mate 70 series debuted in November last year. The top-end lineup is available in China while it awaits a global debut. But it hasn’t received any worldwide launch date yet.

Although some netizens believe that Huawei may surprise global consumers with the Mate 70 series launch on February 18. The company hasn’t teased the ultimate smartphones yet for a worldwide release. Yet some points hint at the possibility.

Reasons:

Firstly, the OEM unveiled the Mate X6 foldable globally in December 2024. It has brought the book-type folding phone to the overseas market after a gap of two years.

The company was expected to follow the same strategy with the Mate 70 as well. However, it unveiled the mid-range Nova 13 smartphones instead of the flagship line.

But that triggers an interesting idea. Huawei is releasing a smartphone series alongside a foldable in the global market. In that case, Mate 70 lineup could make its way to the global platform on February 18 beside the Mate XT tri-folding handset.

Huawei didn’t launch the Mate 60 series and Mate X5 model outside China following the US restrictions. The company was already under the US eyes due to a new Kirin 9000s 5G chipset. Hence, it skipped launching flagship models worldwide.

The company amazed everyone by debuting the Mate X6 equipped with Kirin 9020 5G in the overseas market. Now Huawei is bringing the ultimate triple foldable smartphone to global consumers alongside the latest MatePad tablet.
