Huawei Mate 70 series Kirin chip tipped to match Snapdragon 8+Gen 1 performance

Huawei Mate 70 series may carry a powerful Kirin 5G chip, which could match the Snapdragon 8+Gen 1 processors in terms of performance efficiency. That says a new input surfing on one of the Weibo blogger’s comment sections.

Tipster @DirectorShiGuan recently discussed the ongoing preparations for the Mate 70 lineup. Responding to a query about the device’s performance, the blogger says that Huawei Mate 70 series Kirin chip would be significantly stronger.

On the flip side, the tipster mentioned that the new Kirin 5G chipset would be equivalent to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Thus, the upcoming Mate series could be the new smartphone beast with robust and super-amazing capabilities.

So far, the Mate 60 series which runs on the Kirin 9000s chipset is equivalent to the Snapdragon 888 processor. It scored 800,000 points in the AnTuTu listing.

Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 has achieved around 1.1 million points. Perhaps, we can expect that the new Kirin 5G chip might excel with 1.2 million points in this scenario, making the Mate 70 series the most powerful series in the industry.

In recent times, we heard that Huawei is developing new Kirin chips for its approaching premium handsets. It would be worth seeing what new changes the upcoming self-developed processor will bring to the table.

Huawei Mate 60 – Kirin Processor

Even though the company has not officially promoted the Kirin 9000s chipset for the Mate 60 series, some netizens confirmed its presence. The powerful processor runs on a reliable CPU infrastructure which is as follows:

  • 1 × 2.62GHz + 3 × 2.15GHz + 4 × 1.53GHz

The processor further supports Maleoon 910 MP4 GPU for effective graphics processing. Besides, the company introduced new Kirin chips for the Nova 12 series like the Kirin 9000SL, Kirin 8000, and more with downclocked performance cores.
