Huawei Mate 70 Pro Premium Edition is official, cheaper than base variant
Huawei Mate 70 Pro Premium Edition is now official. The smartphone does not have any major changes over the base variant. But if you are looking for a lower price flagship device, you can check out the latest variant in the online stores.
The Chinese phone maker has announced the Huawei Mate 70 Pro Premium Edition on its official Weibo page. It is available in VMall and will be on sale on March 5.
Mate 70 Pro Premium Edition comes in four colors: Green, Purple, Snow White, and Obsidian Black. It is identical to the original variant in design and specs.
Although the difference lies in the price and processor. The official product details reveal that the Mate 70 Pro Premium Edition is 300 yuan ($41) cheaper than the basic model. It further has three storage options at the following prices:
- 12GB + 256GB = 6199 yuan ($850)
- 12GB + 512GB = 6699 yuan ($919)
- 128GB + 1TB = 7699 yuan ($1056)
The device seemingly features a downclocked version of the Kirin 9020 5G processor. Apart from these changes, the rest of the parameters of the new Premium Edition and the original Mate 70 Pro handset are the same.

Specifications
Mate 70 Pro Premium Edition equips a 6.9-inch OLED screen with 2832 x 1316 pixels resolution. It supports 1.07 billion colors, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate.
It runs on the HarmonyOS 4.3, and consumers can opt for the HarmonyOS NEXT Pioneer Edition. The device features a quad-camera setup with a 50MP main camera (f/1.4 – 4.0 + OIS), a 40MP ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.2), a 48MP (f/2.1 + OIS) macro telephoto shooter, and a 1.5MP multi-spectral lens.
Meanwhile, the front side holds a 13MP ultra-wide-angle snapper (f/2.4) and a 3D depth camera. The device installs a 5500mAg battery with 100W super-fast wired, 18W wired reverse, 80W wireless, and 20W wireless reverse charging.
