Huawei Mate 70 Pro may soon get new ‘Premium Edition’ variant

Huawei Mate 70 series comes with four models but it seems the company may soon introduce a new variant to this flagship lineup named “Mate 70 Pro Premium Edition”. The device might bring some interesting changes compared to its siblings.

The Chinese tech giant often releases new variants for its high-end smartphones. The recent one is the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra red color model. Meanwhile, it also launches customized editions that bring additional accessories to consumers.

Now a new leak suggests that Huawei will soon introduce a new ‘Premium Edition‘ variant for the Mate 70 Pro smartphone. It may offer some extra goodies to users.

Weibo tipster @FixedFocus notes that the company is preparing a new Premium Edition for the Mate 70 Pro model. While the launch time is unclear, the variant may debut later this month.

Further inputs hint that the upcoming edition would be a ‘bundled version’. It will likely bring new accessories or may coupled with an audio/wrist wearable. For instance FreeBuds 6i or the new FreeArc earphones.

It’s not the first time that Huawei is planning a Premium Edition for its Mate models. The company has launched a similar variant for the Mate 60 Pro smartphone. It was bundled with FreeBuds 5 earbuds to offer the best combination to consumers.

Mate 60 Pro Premium Edition was available in two color options: Green and Black. The specifications were the same as the main model, but the additional gift was new earbuds. Huawei may bring something similar for the Mate 70 Pro.

Specifications

The Mate 70 Pro handset features a 6.9-inch OLED screen with top-notch visual capabilities. It offers FHD+ resolution and 2500nits peak brightness. The company has used the second-gen Kunlun Glass with scratch and drop-resistant properties.

Mate 70 Pro further equips a quad-camera setup with a 50MP primary lens, a 40MP ultrawide-angle shooter, a 48MP macro telephoto camera, and a 1.5MP multi-spectral lens. The front side holds a 13MP selfie snapper and a 3D depth sensor.

It also has a non-removable 5500mAh battery with 100W wired, 80W wireless, and 20W wireless reverse charging capabilities. The device also supports various AI features like AI movement trajectory, AI heroic moment, AI Cloud Enhanced, AI file-sharing air gesture, and more.
