Huawei Mate 70, Nova 13 escalates HiSilicon chip shipments in Q1 2025

Huawei HiSilicon chip is doing well in shipments as per Q1 2025 analysis, and the credit goes to the Mate 70 flagship and Nova 13 series. Both phone lineups have driven the sales of HiSilicon Kirin chips in the first three months of this year.
Counterpoint has published a new report revealing the sales performance of global smartphone chip brands in Q1 2025, and Huawei HiSilicon chip also shares the space on this shipments listing.
According to the ranking, Huawei HiSilicon is in the sixth position. It owns 4% of the market share. The company’s sales have declined quarterly in Q1 2025.
But it looks like the fall off didn’t affect the company’s growth much. The report notes that Huawei continues to enjoy a strong brand preference in its home ground.
The reason is its loyal consumer base. Despite chip-making struggles, the Nova 13 series, powered by Kirin 8010 5G chip and the flagship Mate 70 series (Kirin 9020 5G), drove the shipments for HiSilicon in the first quarter of this year.

Apart from Huawei, MediaTek is standing at the top of the Q1 2025 global smartphone chip listing. It has a market share of 26% with an increase in chip sales. Thanks to Dimensity 8400, which boosted sales of the mid-to-high chip segment.
Qualcomm is second in the row with 28% market share due to new flagship processors. Apple achieved the third spot with 17% of the market share. A major credit goes to the iPhone 16e running on the A18 chipset. But it went down slightly in sales.
UNISOC and Samsung hold the fourth and fifth positions respectively. The former owns 10% of the market share while the latter has 5% of the market share.
Although UNISOC is seeing a decline in sales while the South Korean tech maker achieved positive growth in shipments, thanks to the fruitful sales of the Galaxy A26 and A56 series.
