Huawei Mate 70 gets new shortcut menu, improved browsing features

Huawei Mate 70 series is getting a new HarmonyOS NEXT public beta update that installs a new shortcut menu and browsing features to the devices. It also enhances file management and improves the security aspects of flagship smartphones.
Mate 70 series is receiving the new HarmonyOS NEXT 5.0.0.135 public beta version. It has a downloadable package of 1.54GB and brings a massive changelog.
The company is rolling out the HarmonyOS NEXT 5.0.0.135 testing build to all the top-end models. Perhaps this is the last beta version before the stable rollout.
Coming to the features, Huawei Mate 70 series is experiencing a new shortcut menu on the home screen. IT will allow users to create several new shortcuts of apps and perform operations quickly. For instance, creating a new message.
Users can now easily export PDF format and convert plain memos into TXT files. Celia Keyboard further enhances the search experience. One can see a new dark mode in the browser and a screen rotation tool for the web video assistant player.

New Features
- Added a shortcut menu. Long press the message icon on the home screen to quickly create a new text message.
Privacy and Security
- Private Space supports migrating data between Main Space and Private Space (Private Space > Settings > Privacy and Security > Private Space)
File Management
- Supports exporting to PDF files. Plain text memos can also be exported to TXT files (enter a single memo > More > Export)
- You can delete folders through the upper left sidebar icon > folder “Edit”.
- Scanned documents can be saved as PDFs for easy sharing (single memo > click the image icon > document scan > take a photo of the document > click the save icon)
Calendar
- Click on the festival schedule card to view detailed information and learn about the historical origins, cultural connotations, traditional customs, and related anecdotes of the festival.
Search
- Improves the search experience. When entering search content, it supports an immersive keyboard and pinyin input pass-through feature. During the input process, the keyboard and the page are integrated. The letters will directly display in the search box for an immediate search, and the search speed is faster (need to be used with Celia Keyboard version 1.0.17.300 and above)
Browser
- Added dark mode, making it more comfortable to surf the Internet at night (My section > Common Services > Dark Mode)
- Download files support renaming and deletion.
- Web video assistant player now supports screen rotation, long press to play at double the speed, sliding to adjust the playback progress, etc. (Huawei browser needs to be upgraded to 5.1.1.370 version or above)
System
- Optimizes system performance and improves overall fluency.
