Huawei is pushing a new software update with HarmonyOS version 4.0.0.136 for the Huawei Mate 60 series smartphones in China. This update comes with a few important optimizations and improvements for these devices.

Huawei Mate 60 series has appeared as a show-stopper and has been doing robust sales since August this year. This new Mate-series flagship features a new Kirin chipset named Kirin 9000s.

It’s the first smartphone with HarmonyOS 4 operating system and plenty of new features. Over the past two months, Huawei has been sending back-to-back software updates for the Mate 60 series to improve its user experience.

The new HarmonyOS 4.0.0.136 installs better improvements and new optimizations for the camera app along with the system.

Huawei Mate 60 series users can now enjoy better compatibility with third-party applications. This new firmware will also optimize system stability in some situations.

5G:

Aside from the new firmware, users are now reporting receiving a new notification for the 5G experience. It is reminding Mate 60 owners to enable 5G network access to achieve faster data speed.

However, there’s no such switch to enable 5G in Huawei smartphones’s network settings and there’s no 5G network icon showing in the taskbar. But, users can still access high-speed 5G internet in these Huawei Mate 60 series models.

The latest HarmonyOS 4.0.0.136 software for the Huawei Mate 60 series is rolling out in batches and may take some time to expand among users.
