Huawei Mate 60 series could launch in September

On June 27, 2023, Tuesday, Huawei started working on a new flagship, the Huawei Mate 60 series and it’s now revealed that this lineup could unveil in September.

A Weibo tipster suggests that Huawei will launch Mate 60 series in September this year. The tipster further elaborated that the new phone will bring a 1-inch camera onboard.

Last year, the Huawei Mate 50 series made its debut in October. This year, the company may have resolved many supply chain issues in order to release this phone earlier than the previous timeline.

Currently, Huawei has not shared the details of the launch date but the tipster is quite reliable and we need to wait for more information on this matter.

Mate 60 series vs iPhone:

Similar to last year, Huawei could go on the fight against iPhone 15 series in the China with Huawei Mate 60 series. These two phones will follow the launch dates around each other. Therefore, Huawei will be pumped up to compete against all of its Chinese counterparts as well.

HarmonyOS 4.0:

Also, the Huawei Mate 60 series will be the first to equip the HarmonyOS 4.0 operating system out of the box. This phone in the global market will come with EMUI 14 first.

Huawei has also started the developer test of HarmonyOS 4.0 for different devices and it will launch at Huawei Developer Conference (HDC) 2023.

Supply Chain:

Earlier this year, during the launch of the Huawei P60 series, He Gang, Huawei Consumer Business Group, Chief Operating Officer said that Huawei has returned all operations to normal.

It indirectly means that the company will be able to launch a new flagship in the second half of this year. The past leak also claims that the Huawei Mate 60 series will use the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ chipset and the Pro version will use Snapdragon Gen 2.
